I have had a single gold mystery snail since early december. Today i woke up and she was laying eggs! I have heard they can hold fertilized eggs for some time, but what are the odds these are fertile? How can i tell? Do i just wait a few weeks and see?

Thanks for any help!

Do you want more snails? If so let them be & see what happens, make sure they're in a spot that stays moist. If not do what I do & remove them. I don't think there's a way to tell by looking at them if they're fertilized or not but I could be completely wrong.

If they are fertile and do hatch i would probably just donate to my LFS. Of course my son will surely make me keep a few.

Oh you're going to have lots of snails if they do hatch!! Just make sure they've got some humidity so they stay moist.
