N brichardi

How many brichardi for a 25 gallon show? Is 4 ok? I only have a juvie rainbow shark in it now.

You can start w/4, but plan on moving 2 out after a pair forms, along with the rainbow shark...

You could keep 4 females as long as there aren't any male fish to crossbreed with them. I've seen posts regarding leleupi and a few other Neolamp's crossing w/brichardi. The results aren't good.

Weird. Thanks for the info. I don't plan on any other cichlids as of right now. A midas in the future yes, but no others.

The rainbow shark and brichardi have completely different water preferences, they aren't a good combo with or w/out a breeding pair of brichardi. SA or CA cichlids would be a better choice to mix with a rainbow shark, though the shark and many species of cichlids will outgrow a 25 gallon tank. Dwarf species would be the best options overall.
