Yikes! I did not know that. We let the house get up to even 80 sometimes in the summer, if it’s really hot outside, like close to 90, we don’t like such a big temperature difference when we come in, so we will put the air conditioning on like 79.
I will periodically go to the pond where I caught them in measure the water temperature in there. I’m fairly certain it must reach the high 70s, as inground pools here frequently do, and without heaters. I didn’t realize this could be an issue, though
