I have also read that hatchetfish like to swim in a current. But I also have the aquarium fish handbook that states that they do best in tanks with "little current or disturbance."
I wonder which one is right? I have four hatchetfish and three of them seem to avoid the side of the tank with the bubble wall but one seems to play in it.
Glass catfish should have a strong current and they are very cool and stay small. They should only be kept in a mature tank though. I would check them out if you want something unique.
