just a few questions, i am up to almost 30 fish now in my 55gal fw tank. because of the size and i am kinda a worry wort i do the water cycles one a week (about 20%) and i check the ammonia, ph, nitrites and nitrates about every other day. about 15 of the fish are tetras and it seams when ever i put food in, flakes or freeze dried brine shrimp the other fish in the tank devour most of it up. but i haven't had a fish die at all since i got rid of the ick (thanks again alli) the neons and other tetras and a peacock ell that i recently got don't seem to be eating while the sword tails and tiger barbs seam to be getting fatter. on another thought every 3 days when i put in a algea waffer or 2 (2 cae's) the barbs go nuts and start devouring it also until the cae's find them and carry them away into hiding. i know from talking to the people at the new lfs that i found, who are great (any one in western new york that has the ability check out "the fish store" in NT) that the eel is mostly a nocturnal scavanger that burrows during day light hours. should i be alarmed at all or are they actually eating and i am just missing out?
