Hi I found this site by accident. I found some reddish worm like thing with long tentacles in my tank. At first I thought it was algae, but when I was removing it, it looked like a worm was attached to it. What is it? Is it harmful? Anyway, when I went to ask.com to find out about it, I came upon this site. Can anybody help as I am very new at saltwater fish keeping?

I would try posting this in the freshwater tanks section, (if it's freshwater that is), you will get more people who will see it.

thanks 4 the help. i asked the owner of the fish place about it and he said that it sounds like spaghetti worms and that having them is a good thing.

Welcome to AA! I've never heard of a spaghetti worm. Could it be a bristleworm?

it is not a bristle worm. i know what they look like.
