New filter

Hey everyone. I have a 40 gal tank and I just replaced the filter with a canister filter rated at 350 gal/hour. It is filled with a liter of seachem matrix. It's been running since Tuesday, but I want the old filter for a different tank. When will the new filter have enough bb to run it by itself? Thanks

Id say to be safe at least 2-3weeks ideally longer.
