So My name is Mr. Ross ,and I'm now cycling my 55g African tank , and soon too add fish when it's done and add more rocks and log , any ideas and possible going too do half planted .

having plants with african cichlids is a bad idea they will shred them, you should get a lot more rock i used field stone or you could get slate or make your own. also make sure you have lots of filtration because you are going to want to over stock
