New member, filter upgrade help

Hi everyone! I want to upgrade my HOB filter from an aqueon 10 to a aquaclear 50 for my 20 gallon cycled and stocked tank. Can I take the sponge out of the old one and put it in the aquaclear? What about the carbon filter? If I can do that, where do I put them in the aquaclear?

I *believe* you can fit the insert from the Aqueon into the sponge area of the AC, but never having had an Aqueon I'm not 100% positive. If the Aqueon uses the inserts I think it does tou can stand them in the media compartment of the AC

I would say that as long as the sponge and carbon fit in the aquaclear then you should get for cycling. I have an aquaclear 50. That removable grey tray in the big part of the filter is where you place everything. It doesn't really matter what order, I usually put the sponge on the bottom and the carbon on top.
