Hi - I've just joined this forum. I'm starting a 75-gallon tank for wild fish (I live in New Hampshire) species like dace, shiners, sculpins, sunfish, and catfish. Would love suggestions on a filter for this tank, and hear from others who have wild fish. thanks!

Welcome to the community!

I would consider deworming any wild fish. Also paying attention on the legality. Often these fish are not allowed to be reintroduced to waterways due to possuble introduction of pathogens from other fish you keep in the tank.

This is a good topic for a thread in the native fish section!

Standard filtration would be fine. A lot of our North American Natives are rather hardy. I would also leave the tank unheated since the species you listed do not prefer our typical tropical temps found in our aquariums. I would recommend either keeping a larger species or mostly the smaller ones like the dace and darters. Sunfish and catfish will gobble up the smaller fish very quickly.
