So my girlfriend and I will be getting our own place in a few months. She knows how much I like fish. I have a 12g that was freshwater.

She was thinking of getting me a 90g!
I don't even know what I would put in a 90g.

Thinking of saltwater reef, but won't go full reef right away if I do do saltwater.

I guess what I want to do is price point equipment needed.

Would a 75g be better or more reasonable?

If a reef is the plan I would.go with the 75 over the 90 since they have the same footprint just the 90 is taller which means more light needed to penetrate to the floor

Ok cool. I was wondering that.

What will I need? Sand rock lights. No clue to any of this

A tank this big if it were me I would get 3200-3500 gph of powerheads (2 1400 koralias and a 750 koralia would be good) a skimmer rated for atleast 150 gallons 2 taotronics dimmable leds for lighting about 100lbs of sand 90 lbs of rock and you would have a basic setup with out the small things like test kits refractometer etc. If you really wanna go for it open up a getting started thread and all the reefers will be there to help ;)
