Ya love bumblebee's. They can be feisty especially as juveniles. Good thing for me is my tank boss is also a bumblebee so he keeps the younger ones in check.

Are they more black when they're adults?

Just depends. My male juvenile started turning black but the big guy didn't like he was displaying so started picking on him. He eventually turned back to normal yellow/black and boss hasn't bothered him.
