Nitrate help

Here's a little update... I put a Bunch of gauze in ine of my HOB filters to use as a "floss" and seems to be working.. Is this ok

I've heard of RO waster. but not actually sure what it is..... but I do know that Anubias hates it and will really melt off

It's reverse osmosis. Basically it pushes water through membranes and it removes a large majority of all dissolved materials and minerals from the water.

I think I found out why I have my nitrates problem.... It's due to my SAND!!!! When I bought this tank a year ago I put way to much sand in it and now I have a dark layer of sand under the top layer which is nitrate build up!!! ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1425475255.770212.jpg
