I currently have several tanks running so I have a bunch of test kits. I just tested my cichlid tank and got the following results:

API liquid test: 0
API Test strip 20
Red Sea Liquid test 50!

I have no idea which one is accurate. They are all new and unexpired. I have been slowly buying salifert test kits aqnd find them highly accurate so I was thinking on getting a nitrate one. Anyone else use salifert or have any suggestions?

I will be doing a large pwc just in case though.

I think it's safe to assume API liquid is wrong. Unless it's under-stocked and heavily-planted it's extremely unlikely you have 0 nitrates in a cycled tank.. And you know test strips are notoriously unreliable as well.
