So I'm trying out this new NLS formula called algae max. Any one tried it and is it any different from the cichlid formula which I know is krill based.

This is the staple diet for my Ruby Greens, a variety of different seaweeds w/some krill. Very high in fiber which is ideal for herbivores like Rubies. They love it too.

Great for any herbivorous or detritivorous cichlids.

Herbivorous: adj. Feeding on plants; plant-eating.

Mbuna eat algae, I'll leave you to do the math.

I understand that lol but they advertise the other as cichlid formula and have pics of mbuna on it lol

The cichlid formula is protein based not plant based. While it's lower in protein it's still suitable for them. Use a mix of algae max and Thera-A.
