Not another ich question...? or is it? :)

My lawnmower blenny has been flashing for about a week or so.. and nipping at his tail.. there is one spot on his caudal fin and a couple on his anal fin.. what are some parasites that can live externally on fish other than ich? Unless this is ich.. :?

I have some peppermint shrimp in the tank, but no other cleaner shrimp..I've not seen where these shrimp help with any parasites, can they? If not I'll have to get a cleaner shrimp or two...unless it's ich of course.. good thing I only have two little fish...

Sounds like ich.

I don't know if peppermint shrimp are listed as cleaners of parasites. Cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp do though.
