Are angelfish omnivious? Coz mine are eating dead plant matter, roots and java moss as well as their pellets. Is that normal? They are juviniles, measuring about 3-4cms.
thanx for your help

Yes, angelfish are omnivorous. They are cichlids, although gentler than some of their cousins, and will eat everything from plants to small fish. They should be provided with a well rounded diet that contains vegetable matter and protiens.

Yeah, I wondered about that too, mine will eat some algae or nibble the plants from time to time. the plants grow so much I dont care if they take a few bites, as long as they don't destroy anything.
