My betta has had a pin hole at the base of his tail since I got him and I've tried everything I know about to help him heal but it hasn't gotten any better in the 6 months I've had him. I've tried melafix and I keep the water as clean as possible at all times. I change water at least once a week if not twice. Any suggestions?

Keep calm and drum on

If it hasn't gotten better or worse in 6 months it probably just is what it is. My bettas fins are way different from when I got him, and I did all the "good" stuff ... Nothing sharp, guarded (or no) filter ... Maybe it was just growing and one spot opened and that's that.
