Plant identification. ..help

Hey just bought this plant that a little bit purple on cause it had some cool colors on it but I'm not exactly sure what it is actually I need some help

Purple waffle aka hemigraphis exotica, a semi aquatic bog type plant.

You have to watch out for plants being sold for aquariums that are not true aquatic plants. Sometimes you'll see completely terrestrial plants being sold as aquatic, which is really a shame. Some of them will survive for varying lengths of time, but eventually they all die, mainly because they aren't adapted to get their oxygen from water.

Bog plants tend to be among these, again, not really adapted to growing underwater all the time, though they can often withstand some period of submersion, as a adaptation to being flooded now and then.
