So im going to post before and after pics in this thread but first a little back story to everything. So I had a screw up when I started (didn't do my home work) but after help from this forum and the members I got things started good (so I thought) this is where I was (first pic) so every fish I got had some kind of issue and I thought it was me doing something wrong.

So after the tank cycles a second time I win 2 fair goldfish and I end up here ( second pic)

I then decide I want more fish so I get a bala and a pleco cool everyone is doing good (so I thought) (3rd pic)

Come to find out my 2 new pets are sick and didnt find any signs till it was to late bala and pleco die and one gold fish has an odd set of red spots (4th pic)

Other then the goldfish all the other fish were purchased at the same lfs (petco) and everyone has died so far what is wrong with this picture.....

So now the good part during a search for what would fix my goldfish from this odd illness I find we have a new lfs (ricky fins) so I stopped in told him wjat was wrong and he gave me a bottle of seachem para guard and it works magic in less then 5 days the goldfish are doing loads better and the ich they got from the other fish is gone tank is back to normal now I have a trust lfs WOOT.

So since that time this is where my tank has made it too all from rickys and all very happy and healthy (pic in next post

2 goldfish 2 pearl danios and 1 small angel fish

2 goldfish (cold water fish) and angel fish and danios (tropical). They both like different temperatures.

Tropical fish get sick if they get too cold. Like usually anything less than 24/25 degrees depending on the tropical fish.
And goldfish can live in freezing cold water out in freezing cold ponds as long as they haven't turned to ice.

Well the tank has stayed at the normal tropical range since I got the gold fish and they are going great so yea next

Goldfish can live at higher temps but it significantly shortens their lifespans. Additionally goldfish DO NOT being in a 10 gallon tank and neither does an angelfish. Even the danios are pushing it.
