Planting a tank ?

I have never planed a tank before and was thinking of adding one or two plant but I have no idea were to start. Any help would be great .

If you want easy low-tech...imo...water sprite/wisteria are good hardy plants for beginners

Do they need anything special. I have a gravel bottom tank will that be ok for them?

What kind of lighting and bulbs do you have in it. Lighting type will determine what type of plants will work best. Gravel will be fine as long as it doesn't have big grains. You may need root tabs depending on what type of plants and a good general fertilizer such a Seachems Flourish Comprehensive. It's not too hard to do a low light tank with easy plants.

You'll need to stick with low light plants.... anubia's, java ferns (regular and Wendilov), Bolbitus, and possibly crypts.
