So im in a dilema i have 2 platties and cant tell if one is a boy or girl
It looks to have the gravid spot but has the pointed fin can anyone please help

That is a gonopodium so a male.

It is probably a X. variatus.

Platy and Swordtails are from Xiphophorus genus.

There are so many crosses and color patterns. Xiphophorus hellerii Green Swordtail and the Xiphophorus maculatus Southern Platy can cross too!
