Platys better in sand?

I know africans do good in sand but is sand good for platys also? I have sand and about to change from gravel to sand.

I don't think platys care what kind of substrate you have. I have gravel with my platys and they don't care at all.

Yeah, the only fish I know that need a specific type of substrate are cory catfish and africans. Otherwise I think the fish really don't care.

Ok thanks I got Africans but they have gravel just changed one tank to sand.

Yeah, Africans like to dig and move territory lines so sand is good.
