Please ID these fish

These are freshwater fish in a clients tank. I don't know freshwater very well. Sorry for the low quality. Thanks.


I do not have good photos of the second fish. It looks similar to a silver trout with a split caudal fin outlined in black. His dorsal fin is outlined in black also.


The pleco is typically black with either brown or red dots.

Looks to be a kissing gourami .They get huge and are big waste creators.
I'll guess the trout is a bala shark..
Hope your customer has a huge tank...
Both are monster fish not to be kept by most with less the 200g tanks.
The bala needs a school...

Is the bala shark also called a silver shark? I found the bala and silver shark to look a lot like it.

The white fish does not have big lips like the kissing gourami does. I saw a few google photos of the kissing gourami without large lips. Is it one of those traits that doesnt apply to all of them?

Thoughts on the pleco?
