Plecos

I have 3 plecos i will include pics of them. Im trying to figure the "L" codes for them. I have a gold nugget pleco whos L # is L018. I know that one, but these other two i cant figure out. The one on the right the 10 inch one is the lighter one with small circle spots but can get a real tanish color with like dark swirls on him kinda reminded me of the army color (desert) pattern. The guy on the right has a dark brown color and has that zig zag pattern which i believe is the common pleco, could anyone help me figure these two out?? Appreciate everyones opinion in advance. Oh sorry for the pictures it was hard getting them side by side

The one on the left is a common. ( the are very messy) how big is your tank?
IDK the other yet.

The other can also very well be a common... they don't all look alike

Yeah i figured the one on the left is a common pleco.. But the guy on the right is a beast.. Much lighter in color and can get tanish color with a black swirly color.. Really freaky looking at times.. Also more aggresive then the other two but slightly more then golden nugget

Glad it helped. I hate not knowing exactly the species or strain of fish I have. Angelfish have lots of new strains and I am always searching for pics to ID something I saw online or at the LFS.

in the photo the one on the left looks like a gold spot sailfin pleco to me and the one on the right looks just like a common plec im not sure about L numbers for them, i think someone told me the gold spot sailfin was actually L001 but i dunno sounds a little wierd..... and pretty sure them and the leopard sailfin, albino sailfin etc are all Gibbiceps and have the same l number

heres my old gold spot sailfin pleco does he look like that????

Its hard to say mine has more of zig zag lines on him where yours seem to be rounder.. I feel like taking both out of tank and taking a close-up pic of them. I just know they arent the same thing being there is so many.

Here they are.. the bigger one gets light and has dark swirls.. The darker one well looks exactly the same in the water..
