Hello! Help, I am new to the forum and I have joined because I'm really worried

I have 3 Shubunkin in a 90 gallon tank that has been set up for a month, but had previously been unoccupied for a year. I restarted it fine. My dad set up this filter, its like a smaller fish tank under the tank that sets it through a wetdry filter. I did a 30% water change after finding out this happened and vacuumed the gravel. I would be doing this once a month. The fish are all a month old, and I acclimated them by putting them in the bag in, than releasing them after 20 min. I haven't added anything new, and I feed them tetra goldfish flakes along with peas.

The smallest guy out of the bunch had developed popeye in its right eye. I had isolated them in a bucket and tested my tank water, and filled the medical bucket with fresh treated water prior to isolating the fish. Than I ran a bubbler to it, and did the standard bag thing to help the isolated fish change environments and did a test for both tanks. Both tank and bucket I had were normal, (0 nitrate, 0 nitrite, 25 hardnesss, 0 chlorine, 40 alkalinity and 6.8 ph) I let the fish sit in the bucket for a few days as I tried to find Maracyn+, only to find Maracyn 2 and immediately treated it by giving it half packets every 24 hrs for 5 days with a water change on the 3rd day. However, it just clouded the water and the popeye is still there. I had to put him back in the main tank and I was told it should be ok as it seems like there's no viral infection, as the other fish are perfectly healthy and aren't hurt.

The fish in qustion seems to just have popeye, leading me to believe that it was just a physical alteration, as it is the runt of the tank but I don't know what to do now. Will he be ok? Should I do anything else? Below are current photos of the fish in question. sorry for lack of photos, he's been hiding his bad eye.

Sounds like you did everything right, except next time why not just invest in a ten gallon tank bare bottom with your airsone and maybe a cheap walmart led light.
A bucket is a pretty poor hospital tank.
Too bad you couldnt find the erythomycin (maracyn 1) but the root cause of popeye is often an injury.
I think "eye cloud" is more of the bacterial infection

Thank you for the help! I'm 16 and short on money rn, so I'll try and see. (NYC no walmart)

I'm going to see if i can get a 10 gallon aquarium. I was told maracyn 2 was better, ;c

anywhere there's an update on the situation, i added a cup of epsom salt but the eye fell out.

Ok, so I woke up at night and checked my fish, it seem liked the infected fish was lost it's eye so I checked, and the worst of my fears came true. It seems like they lost their eye, but the shell is there ;c I added Epsom salt, should I isolate and treat with more maracyn? Is it infected. What do I do now?
I'm really sad they lost their eye,

I'll try! Thank you for the information, but curious what makes a bucket a bad choice. Also, i have found maracyn 1 as well, what makes it better?

I'm sorry for ending up spamming this forum.
Thank you for the help, the fish in question ended up dying about an hour ago.

No need to apologize, im sorry your goldfish died
Maracyn 1 is Erythomycin, only works for some kinds of bacteria, like Strep, Staph, ect (Gram + bacteria)
Maracyn 2 is Minocycline, works better for most deadly types of fish bacteria like columnaris, pseudomonas, aeromonas, virbrio, but these are the kind that cause Tail Rot. (Gram - bacteria)

Popeye or eye cloud is often caused by Strep, which is Gram + thus why i reccomended maracyn 1. But it can be caused by aeromonas.....
Honestly you could keep them both on hand and use them both together to be broad spectrum, but for tail rot i use kanamycin or minocycline (M2)

Sorry about your fish.
As Matt said the eye was either injured or infected..
It sounds like an infection due to the end result..
I would strongly consider treating the whole display tank with the marycin..
Maybe even getting the marycin 2 and using both to make sure the bacterial cause is dealt with...
