I'm contemplating using vinyl flooring from HD or Lowes to see how that marbled look compliments the plants. Like a dark brownish color to mimic the murky waters

How's it going everyone?! It's been a while. Haven't been on here in over a decade!

Here's my 40 gallon low-tech tank. Only dosing Excel and using Osmocote+ root tabs. Up and running since the beginning of October.

First day with plants

I'll need to post a couple pictures after water changes today. :) Currently only 2/4 are planted (one more than the other) but I am setting up a 7g nano, and hopefully after that a nano shrimp tank. Both will be planted :)

Here is a pic of my 70g at its prime a couple months ago. Since there was 3 week vacation where it was a little neglected. The vallisneria really thinned out but the amazon swords were fine. (Person taking care of my house decided to unplug the lighting, at least he didn't unplug filter)
I trimmed the dead leaves put in some root tabs and my fingers are crossed things will pick up again. If not a good excuse to rescape

Since July I have switched the 10 to a 20g and picked up on more aquascaping tips.

I've added DIY co2 and am getting two of the Current Sattelite USA plus for Christmas. Maybe for my birthday I'll get a co2 system.

Here's my 46 gallon bow front. It's been up since July, but I did a huge cut 2 weeks ago and planted just the tops of all my stems. The bottoms were pretty raggity as they were from clippings from other members of forums. All the stems now have been grown in only my tank and they look real nice. Just need them to fill in now. Also just added the manzanita.
