I have a pregnant molly fish. There are a lot of questions I have, some just for curiosity reasons and others so that I can provide the best care possible.
How long does a molly pregnancy last? Also, how long is left of the pregnancy when the molly starts showing?
This is also the mollys first pregnancy so is there a usual estimate of how many fry she will have on the first delivery.
I want to keep the fry and the molly lives in a community tank with fish that are large enough to eat the fry easily. They all explore a lot and so would find hiding fry, meaning I’ll have to take the pregnant molly out to deliver. I have a 52 litre tank prepared for this. However, I dont know when to move her into there
Also, what are any signs of labour I should look out for. She is a black molly with a gold face and so a lot of signs I can’t see on her
