i am having to types of plants in my tank for quite some time. before there was no co2 or fertilizers in the tank. the plants did grow a little bit but after some time stopped growing.
so now i decided to make some modifications.
1. i made an diy yeast generator co2, using one 2 liter soft drink bottle and the co2 started generating. so is this co2 enough for the plants. do i have to make the diy co2 using using 2 bottles of soft drink as they show in the forums .
2. lighting: i have 4 tubes florescent each 2 feet long 18 watts .
3. fertilizer weekly dose of flourish.
4. tank 240 liters with 20 small sized fish( tetras and chiclids).
5. filter is DIY canister filter, i think this is working very well as my water is very clear( no carbon in it ).

so i have this co2 running for about 6 days now and cannot see any fast growth in the plants. i have the lights on for 6 hours daily. what might be the problem. or maybe i have to wait for some more time.

What plants do you have in the tank? Growth speed varies with different plants.
