Quarantining in Tupperware/mason jar?

I have some red root floaters and Anubis on the way. Can I quarantine these in a mason jar/ Tupperware on a windowsill? I don’t have a spare tank. Thanks in advice.
 
Yes, put some substrate in there. It won't hurt the plants and will give the roots a place to thrive while they're waiting for the big move. This is actually a project people do with kids when they don't want to do a whole aquarium.

Keeping moss balls in a jar is a very common first pet in Japan i understand.
