PWC's, PWC's, PWC's ... Did you boil it first? If not you can remove it ... If possible ... and boil it. That'll help release a bunch of tannins ... Though I'll
Warn you ... You'd be in for a couple of hours of boiling. Mopani is notorious
For being chuck full of tannins.. even after much boiling.

Adding carbon to your filter will help remove tannins.

No I didn't boil it.. I didn't kno I should

Yep... Boiling DW helps to

1. Kill any microbes
2. Waterlog it if it floats
3. Release tannins

Most LFS DW I find sinks ... But moving forward boiling will help with tannins.

Also, if you have a canister filter Purgen removes tannins out of the water like nobody's business. It will also last months (usually) to keep tannins down if they still persist even after boiling. Carbon works but is exhausted much faster and needs replacing.

I used your advice and jus did 3 PWC's and threw some carbon in my HOB. It cleared up in 2 days. And lowered my ph I was pretty stoked abt that. Lol
