Reef safe Silicon?

I bought this silicon the other day to use on my sump I believe it is reef safe any thoughts?

10 oz. Silicone Cartridge-GE-55 at The Home Depot

If it does not have anything in it that prevents mildew, which is appears that it does not, it is safe to use.

I called DAP, which is another major producer of caulk products, and the rep told me that they(caulk manufacturers in general) do not have to list that they add anti-mold ingredients to their caulk and they always do.

Just as easy to by marine land silicone for a few bucks more and no worries or what if. Lfs sells it mine has it in caulk gun size also.

That's a call you need to make its your time and money you will be putting in to your tank.

Ok im gonna return it and just buy the aqueon silicone.

Man I just used that stuff the other day. Hope it works out:/ actually that stuff says it dispenses white and dries clear mine didnt. But it looked the same, except mine was the small tube.

If I remember correctly there's another thread here that someone had a problem with that caulk not too long ago and I'm not entirely positive about that. But if you can search it out it might help.
