Does anyone know what I could use to remove one of those adhesive thermometer strips that stick to the outside of the tank? I tried to peel it off, and most of it came off, but bits are still stick on with residue left behind.

Thanks :)

I second the hair dryer, or heat gun if you have one (on low), and a razor scraper. It comes off really easy. You can use a wet paper towel to wipe away the residue. Remember, don't spray Windex or other glass cleaners near your tank, they can wipe a tanks inhabitants out rather quickly.

If you are using a razor on the glass make sure to hold it so that all of the blade is in contact with the surface of the glass and also make sure that the glass is wet. This way you won't scratch the glass while attempting to remove the residue.

Peanut butter works on sticky glues. As a last resort finger nail polish remover will cut most adhesives, use it sparingly on a paper towel or rag.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll give the hair dryer method a try. :)
