Rescued Axolotyl. Feeding??

I have just acquired a 4year old axolotyl. Have had it for 3 days but can't get it to eat. I have trying to get it to take a pellet from tweezers with no luck. Temp is at 20 degree cel. Should it be colder?

Try feeding it live food, like earthworms, night crawlers or meal worms.

What did the previous owners feed it?
Another thing to try is beef heart.

Tried earthworms this morning, it was interested but just spat them back out. It came with a container of pellets but the poor thing was passed thought 3 people before finding a home at my house (Aparently it was a school pet)

earthworms, feeder guppies and sometimes crickets worked on the one I had as a kid. Kept him around 15-18 celcius(room temp) with a undergravel filter and he did fine. good luck with him.
