I just got some new Rummynose Tetras; why are the tailsyellowwhen the older ones I had were white?

There are actually 3 species that are sold as " Rummynose tetras: Hemigrammus bleheri, Hemigrammus rhodostomus and Petitella georgiae. You probably have a different specie than from before.

Wich type is the true Rummynose?

The word " True" is misleading. Common names can be made up, regional or just based on certain colors or patterns on the fish. Hemigrammus rhodostomus has a common name of true rummy nose while H.blerheri has a common name of "brilliant rummy nose" tetra. So both are considered rummy nose Tetras. The last one, Petitella georgiae has a common name of False Rummy nose but that doesn't really make them any less rummy noses when they have a very similar pattern to the other 2 species. This is why fish are classified by Latin Names and not common names. No two fish have the same Latin Name so there are no confusions.
Now, just to confuse you a bit more
, its always possible ( and used to be common) for a fish collector to sell a bag of fish that contained all 3 species of rummy noses to a shipper and so the shipper does not separate the fish by specie and moves that bag of fish to the next stop on their journey to your tank ( a wholesaler) as Rummy Noses. The wholesaler then breaks up the bag of the fish and ships some to 3 different stores. Now the 3 stores all have fish from the same bag but are not all the same specie but are labeled as Rummy noses because that's how they bought them. You buy them as Rummy Nose instead of a ( insert Latin Name here) so you don't know which rummy nose you actually have. And now, with new areas of the Amazon and parts of S. America that used to be impossible to collect fish from opening up, there may be new species that resemble the 3 fish already labeled as Rummy nose so who knows which specie you are actually getting.
You can research all 3 species listed to see their specific characteristics to determine which one you actually have because they all have very slight differences. Don't be too surprised tho if you have more than one.
