Hello,
I recently raised the salinity of my brackish aquarium (keeping two fiddler crabs, 3 mollies- 2 females, 1 male). I recently bought a reliable hydrometer and realized that my salinity was a bit lower than mollies enjoy - about 1.005? I very gradually, little by little added more salt to the aquarium through frequent water changes.
Today, I finally got the salinity up to 1.005, and soon after all, of my mollies appeared very aggressive - one of my females was nipping at the males tail, so I separated him into a breeder tank.
I was just wondering if the salinity increase could have caused the aggression?
The tank is near the end of a cycle, so ammonia is .25 and nitrite is slightly high, not sure of the exact measurement. Also, it is a 10 gallon
