Ok, While I am looking at what to stock my tank with, I asked mself a question that I dont have an answer for.
When looking at, lets say, Rainbowfishes, I noticed they were a schooling fish. I alos noticed there seem to be 50 different color rainbowfishes. Do they school if they arent the same exact "species/color" or do they all have to be the same? Probably an idiotic question but Im trying to learn. Thanks

They certainly don't have to be the exact species or colour.

My Angelfish sits in a line with my Silver Dollars :)

Inter-species schooling doesn't happen often, but it is possible. When stocking you want to stock a complete school of one species.

**** that stinks. Looking at a school of Bala Sharks and another school of Rainbowfishes with a variety of color. Guess Ill choose 1 color then

Is it for a very large tank? Bala sharks need like a 150 gallon tank or something. Good luck.
