Right now i have 3 balas and they seem to follow eachother pretty well, i only have a 55 gallon and am going to upgrade in a year anyway but i dont want too many balas in there because they get so big. Is 3 balas a good number for school to take place or would another 1 help with that.
I am also going to purchase some clown loaches for the tank and i saw 2 in the pet store today that seemed to be schooling with eachother pretty well, but found a site on the internet that suggested 6 for good schooling, that seems like quite a bit, and will fill my tank up real quick, and wont allow me to really put any more fish in besides clown loaches and bala sharks, i would like to have atleast 2 more types, maybe a red tailed shark, or a cherry barb, looking for something that will remain on its own rather than another type of schooling fish, 2 is plenty. Maybe even a kissing gourami, that seems to be a nice addition, what do you gusy think, they a loner fish?
Thanks alot
Mitch
