Schools

Emily, the person who gave me media to cycle my tank had a big tank with a GBR and an angel, who stayed together. Funny that you do too.

My danios do truly school, and at times they get others to join them, it's funny watching harlequin rasboras (ESP gravid ones) attempt to follow the danios.

I also have times when all 6 glowlight neon tetras and 3 of my Pygmy loaches are truly schooling. Only for a few minutes at a time but ...

When all I had were 6 neons and 6 harlequins they schooled too.

I wonder if my use of a power head encourages the true schooling behavior, particularly different species together.
 
My pscho group of gold barbs keeps a tight grouping. Ive considered adding more , currently 5, but other fam would rather focus on getting bigger fish in there.:ermm:
 
I have a very large group of neons that truly school and it's amazing to watch. I wonder how they know what to do at exactly the same time.
