I have owned pleco, but only with my goldfish during the Winters when I had 2 close my ponds. I just knew my goldfish were filthy, assumed it was them, lol. It was bigger than that before I managed to grab my phone- longer than my oscar itself. I'm new to tropical tanks- never really watched my pond fish go number 2. Learning so much so fast about properly cycled and water conditioning for proper temperatures n sun avoidance for murky water.
