Should I bring home a scallop to my tank?

In the summer I go scalloping in the Gulf, off the coast of Florida. They are "bay scallops" and generally about 2" across. Would one of these be ok to put in my reef tank?

shouldn't be a big problem, recommand you do some reserch on their back ground.But all of them are filter eater, so don't think it would be too hard to keep one, ake sure u QT it before putting into tank

gator....where do you go? I normally go too up to tarpon area but someties all the way up to steinhatchy (SP)

I go to Steinhatchee. My parents have a boat in Cedar Key that we trailer over to Steinhatchee.
