Most shrimp live around 2 years, though in good conditions I understand Amanos live longer. You don't know how old they were when you got them.
I am sorry to hear the one is showing poor signs, and looking ill.
oh no..he/she is fine outside of being upset with me atm, got moved from his 10 gallon tank to the 3 gallon one..either way he has it to himself LOL so can't be too upset..just sits there glaring at me...
well my cherry shrimp came in today, tiny little things so i'm guessing they are babies/juv...my amano is not impressed LOL and is trying to get away from them, so the tanks very active atm.
two scares this morning...first NOTHING was moving around in the shrimp tank (seems they partied all night and slept in, they are all moving now)..then I found what I thought was a dead shrimp...after pulling it out its just the shell...molting already?...
