So I'm sitting at home working and I decide I should do a water change while I wait.

Drain 2/3 of the tanks water, attach the hose, add the python and add water.

Come back 5 minutes later, all good.

Come back 10 minutes later, OMG why the hell is my tank all brown!?

Turns out there was a pipe issue in the local neighbourhood and everyone's water has turned brown but they can't tell me why.

I've drained 90% of the water, added prime in case the brownness is due to any heavy chemicals and am now waiting for my water to return to clear while praying for my fish.

Insanely bad luck :(

It's probably just some dirt that's gotten into the pipe during repairs. If the fish are acting fine I wouldn't worry too much.

Yeah I think I may have over reacted as they do seen fine...was just slightly traumatizing seeing my tank dark brown :(

I just had that happen to me Monday. Mine was like a lite tea color. I did a 50% change yesterday, and will do another tomorrow, after which it should be fine. Non of my fish were harmed...yet.
