I want to add a skimmer to my 75 with a 20 gallon sump. The problem is the stand is short. It has close to 20 inches of room. So I really need a skimmer that is about 18 inches tall and has a low clearance to get the cup off. I think just a normal hob skimmer will be under powered for 95 gallons of water.

Can I run multiple hob skimmers to get the effect of a larger skimmer?

Know of any good short in sump skimmers that can keep up with 95 gallons of moderate load?

Thanks.

Bump. Anyone know if you can multiple hob skimmers? Tearing down the tank to put it on a new stand would be difficult.

Awesome. Thank you. I think might run two hob skimmers until I can find a good short in sump model.

Hobs can be just as effective as in sump. You could keep the hobs. If you didn't want them on your tank if you dump is filled enough you could hob on the sump.
