Is there a fish that anyone can recommend that will eat snails. I do not have a big snail problem only the odd one here and there but I would like to avoid chemicals to control them.
:slurp:

I've had good results with Zebra Loaches. I've read that Yo-Yo Loaches are also good. Both of those will stay smaller than the Clown Loach from the research I've done.

if you want to get rid of them all together you can add 2-3 copper pennies to ever ten gallons and that should safely remove all snails and be safe for you fish and other inhabitants .

If you have a lfs that would take a clown loach off your hands, you could also sort of "rent" one. Purchase it and when it gets older, trade it in for credit towards something else. I picked up a clown and he's totally eliminated snails in the tank.

Of course, one day he'll have to move on because I don't have the tank to keep him.

Dunno if this is a morally sound option or not.
