So is this algae bad?

Please help me identify this red algae, also should I try and get rid of it? This tank is about 2 months old. What is the best method of removing this if that is the proper course of action?

its cyno algae normally from to much organic waste in the tank.

Could be cyano. But looks like coraline to me. Looks more purple.

If it doesnt scrape off easily its coralline. If it slimy then it's cyano. A quick treatment of chemi clean will knock it out overnight. BUT you will get it again if you dont' watch your feedings and lighting schedules.

I head that the cyano will come back the next day after using chemiclean if you dont fix the problem fist. I would do a large water change at least and then does chemiclean, if it comes back may need a protien skimmer if you dont have one and/or possibly a fuge. Thats how i got rid of mine, except i never used chemiclean I just let it go away on its own.

I had a terrible cyano issue in my cube, it was hanging off everything. One dose of "red slime remover" forget the name,(not chemiclean) at night before I went to bed adn the next morning it was gone. The chemical I used definitely was not chemiclean though, it didn't require a water change at all. I did one anyway that next morning. I have not had a lick of an issue since then.

I couldn't figure out the cause of my cyano. Chemiclean removed it, and it hasn't been back since.
