Some advice?

Sooo I have a 30 gallon freshwater with 5 tiger barbs, 2 corys, and 1 CAE. already an established tank but i want to put some live plants into it. My lighting is only 15 watts so what do i need to get started? Open to any tips, suggestions, and advice with what type of plants and things of that nature.<br>

When I decied to go plants few months back, the first step I did was got a new light fixture, cost me just under $40 and gives me just over a watt a gallon. Its now the best brand but it get the job done. Then I changed out my substrate which made a world of a diffrence imo.

Im already looking into a stronger light, so if you can buy a t5ho with 4 bulbs aposed to 2 if your shooting for higher lights

Ok would you reccomend any specific plants? Preferably a hardier type?

Java Ferns look nice for a starter plant.
