What can I put in brackish water with Green Spotted Puffers that will sort of clean the algae up. I know shrimp will be eaten but I'm stumped on what I can do haha and help is much appreciated

IMO, you can put a magentic algae pad in there to clean the algae. I don't know of any fish that I would put with gsp, especially since the gsp shohuld eventually be full marine. Maybe somebody else has a better idea than me though. :)

I wouldn't put a fish. I would put in something that can survive in both fresh and brackish and marine environments. IMO I say nerite snails are a much better option, provided your GSPs don't make a snack of them.

Keeping puffers with snails is just asking for trouble. If you don't have a planted tank, try using marine light, they're a bit blueish but you'll see way less algae.
