Sponge of some sort?

It looks like it might have some polyps on it are you sure it is a sponge and not some type of coral?

I am not sure at all but now thar mention it I can definitely see how it would be coral. My friend really seemed like he had no idea and he said it was a sponge or something. Any idea on how I can find out what kind of coral it is?

At first glance it reminds me of a closed rainbow monti, but hard to tell. I guess we will have to wait and see what it does.
