So I was looking at my tank and I saw this ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1475520891.429282.jpg
Is this something that could be harmful. Let me know because I have not seen it until today.

I agree. I had my tank a couple years before I saw one and then they were all over the place. Cut back on your feedings should regulate how many you will have.

I'm at every other day feedings now, but I'll see if I can cut back a little further. So far I have only seen the one.

Every other day seems OK to me. You are not at an overload of them yet anyway.

you can suck them out during water changes if you like , I always found them to be annoying. as they always multiply rather fast

Ok that tiny little starfish is ADORABLE! Try having fresh water limpets. That's annoying. But the fish find them tasty.
